Sets out the rules and requirements for creating Blockspec files which can be used by device manufacturers for implementation.

Describes a uniform way of specifying block functionality and constraints for standardising feature sets.

MS-05-03 has been developed by the Advanced Media Workflow Association as part of the Networked Media Open Specifications initiative. See here for an overview of NMOS specifications.
